About Taylor

Taylor Shantz was born in Marin County, California. She studied product design and sustainability at Otis College of Art and Design. She has a BFA in ceramics from California College of the Arts.

Her emphasis is on sculpture, furniture, and homewares. She takes inspiration from the sea, biodiversity, and natural elements in Northern California to create her pieces. Her design process includes finding creative solutions that are handmade and feel sentimental while considering earth-friendly materials and methods. She resides in San Francisco.
